Although photography is a passion of mine, I am employed full-time as conservation manager. Wildlife, plants, and nature are central interests in my life, and I hope the images here convey some of the beauty and diversity I see and enjoy throughout the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies.
I currently use Nikon Z-mount equipment, but many of the photos you see here were taken with a 4x5 view camera or various Minolta A-, Pentax K-, and Nikon F-mount cameras and lenses.
Enjoy!
I’m also a proud member of Nature First: The Alliance for Responsible Nature Photography and dedicated to the following Nature First Principles:
Prioritize the well-being of nature over photography.
Educate yourself about the places you photograph.
Reflect on the possible impact of your actions.
Use discretion if sharing locations.
Know and follow rules and regulations.
Always follow Leave No Trace principles and strive to leave places better than you found them.
Actively promote and educate others about these principles.
